Bryke wouldn't make a plot twist that obvious...
The whole fandom is suspicious of Asami being an equalist. Therefore, she must not be. Its too simple if true.
There needs to be a representative of the other side in the Krew. A non-bender helping fight the revolution could bring up a lot more interesting conflicts. She may betray them eventually but she currently is not some mole for Amon.
